Rani Mukherjee Of ‘ Mardaani 2 If it is called an important film of today, it will not be wrong. The film was released during Hyderabad’s Amanushi rape case and Nirbhaya’s execution of the killers. Although it is a sequel to the 2014 ‘Mardaani’, ‘Mardaani 2’ shows the hidden mentality behind brutal rape and violence. Through this crime thriller, director Gopi Putheran has also shown the misogynist attitude towards women.
Story: IPS Shivani (Rani Mukherjee) transferred in Kota city of Rajasthan. As she takes charge of the city, she is confronted by a horrific rape and murder. Kota is the city where students bring bright dreams of the future. Shivani is determined to capture the rapist and the murderer on her own strength and Dambagai. She announces at the press conference that the rapist will grab the collar and bring it to the police station. The rapist (Vishal Jethwa) is a victim of mental disorder and his hatred towards women hurts his core so much that he continues to pursue violence and rape to teach Shivani a lesson. In this game of cruelty, there is a war between him and Shivani, which Shivani has to win. Will Shivani be able to secure the city by eliminating that cruelty? You will have to watch the film to know this.
Mardaani 2 Movie Review: There have been innumerable films in Bollywood on rape and rapist so far, but the quality of director Gopi Putheran’s film is that it also tackles the question of the existence of women with a creepy thriller style. The male-dominated thinking depicted through the characters can also upset many. The film’s length is the film’s plus point. Till the interval, the film forces the audience to hold their breath, scenes like the channel interview after the interval make a slight break at the pace of the film, but then the story takes its own pace. Villan is described as too vicious and adventurous and manages to dodge the police repeatedly. It would have to be called Cinematic Liberty taken by the director. The climax of the film is tremendous. You are forced to clap.
Rani Mukherjee’s acting film is the film’s USP. The weight of the entire film is on his shoulders and with his strong acting delivery he proved how he is suitable in every way in the role of Shivani. His expressions, demeanor, action and feminist attitude add to the character. Vishal Jethwa has been the surprise package of the film as Khunkhwar Rapist. He has not proved inferior in front of a strong actress like Rani on the strength of his acting skills in the very first film. His style of talking to himself enhances the thriller Pace. The supporting cast has done justice to their characters.
Why Watch: Those who are fond of thriller and crime movies can watch this movie.
